Our design engineers collaborate closely with our Energy + Sustainability team of Certified Energy Managers, Passive House consultants, LEED-accredited professionals, and commissioning agents to deliver continuous insight into a building's energy performance throughout the design process.

VILLAGE GROVE
Trumansburg, NY
Taitem provided MEP+S design services for this all-electric multifamily building, utilizing ground source heat pumps for space conditioning and domestic hot water. Village Grove is the first affordable housing development in the region to achieve Passive House certification — US (PHIUS)+ 2018.

COLLEGE OF THE ATLANTIC
Bar Harbor, ME
Taitem provided MEP+FP design services for this 46-bed, Passive House dormitory. The project team worked within the college's sustainability framework to maximize building performance, reduce emissions, and deliver a comfortable, healthy, and affordable building.
