TELLURIDE HOUSE – CORNELL UNIVERSITY
Taitem has been supporting the planning team at the Telluride House for many years. In 2004, Taitem provided structural design for the concrete restoration of the retaining wall and rehabilitation of the exterior south portico at the entrance of the building. In 2007 Taitem provided structural design for the rehabilitation of the west porch. An Historic Ithaca Preservation Award was given for the rehabilitation of the south porch.
In addition to structural services, Taitem conducted a comprehensive energy audit and provided a complete facility assessment which mapped out a long-term maintenance and improvement plan for the building including cost prioritization and a strategy to preserve this historically significant building.
