Project Manager, Senior Sustainability Consultant

Courtney Royal is a Project Manager in Taitem’s Design department collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of MEPS design engineers. Courtney joined Taitem in 2010 and has over fourteen years of sustainable building experience including the development and management of complex, large-scale new construction and existing building projects. She is balanced in relevant technical experience alongside interpersonal and leadership skills which allows her to effectively maintain relationships with project stakeholders. She also provides full-service LEED certification consulting from the early planning phases through certification. Her real passion within the built environment focuses heavily on the health and wellness of the occupants. Some notable LEED projects are Carmel Place: NYC’s First Micro-unit Building and the engineering/architectural design and consulting for Hemsin House, a LEED for Homes Platinum zero energy single-family residence. She holds a BA in Business Management from Western Michigan University, a MS in Energy Management from the NY Institute of Technology, and a Certificate in Green Building Design from Cooper Union in New York City. Courtney became a LEED AP in 2008.
