Pipe fusion and other geothermal techniques

On Monday, Dominick DeLucia and Javier E. Rosa, PE attended a geothermal training in Rochester that focused on water- to-water heat pumps. During a hands-on training demonstration, Dominick and Javier learned a new technique for fusing pipes. Taitem receives Sign of Sustainability Award

Taitem was awarded a Sign of Sustainability Award from Sustainable Tompkins. Each year, Sustainable Tompkins recognizes innovations and initiatives related to sustainability with the Signs of Sustainability Awards. The tradition began in 2006 and has grown to honor dozens of Tompkins County businesses, people, governments, and organizations. Thank you Sustainable Tompkins!

Jim Holahan – Certified Home Energy Professional

Jim Holahan is now a Certified Home Energy Professional (HEP). The four HEP certifications–Energy Auditor, Retrofit Installer Technician, Crew Leader and Quality Control Inspector–demonstrate advanced competency through work experience prerequisites, as well as rigorous written and field exams. These are the only home performance certifications that are both supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Congratulations, Jim!
