Beth Mielbrecht, PE, Partner, Senior Engineer, Research and Training Department Manager, leads field research projects, including Optimizing Deep Energy Retrofits for NYSERDA. She managed a multimillion dollar training and technical assistance contract for NYS Homes and Community Renewal, integrating the technical expertise of Taitem staff with client requirements to create educational experiences in energy conservation theory and techniques. She also led the technical assistance for the program, resulting in the publication of numerous TechTips. Beth also provides program management for Taitem’s FlexTech Benchmarking services. Beth has taught at the middle school level, and she has an extensive background in manufacturing and the automotive racing industry.  Beth has a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering and a B.A. in literature, both from Stevens Institute of Technology.
