Taitem Engineering provided Suffolk County with a comprehensive study for upgrading its fleet of almost 2,500 vehicles, including light- and heavy-duty trucks and a variety of automobiles for use both on and off road. Taitem evaluated the use of biodiesel, E85, gas-electric hybrids, and more to guide the county in meeting new, tougher emissions standards.
